Grand Cayman - Travel Guide

Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands in the Caribbean. It is 197 square kilometers. 1999 it was 37,473 of the 39,410 residents of the Cayman Islands on this island. Slightly more than half of whom live in the capital Georgetown.
The east of the island is less developed than the western part of the island, in the Georgetown and the Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) are. In the western bay is the Seven Mile Beach, a long sandy beach with coral, known among other things, the film adaptation of the novel by the company. The rare Blue Iguana, also called Grand Cayman Iguana is endemic to the island.





The main economic activities are tourism and international financial industry. Hundreds of banks, insurers and investment fund managers on the island have their tax domicile and headquarters, attracted by the legal structure that allows the existence of a tax haven that does not penalize economic transactions taxes and fees like in most countries.
