The offer was presented to Russian King before the Civil War 1860th year, and sales were made seven years later. 18th of October 1867th in amilitary base in eastern Alaska, lowered the flag of Imperial Russia, and the U.S. flag was raised, officially marking the transfer of Alaska in having the United States. Specifically, the U.S. bought a million and a half square kilometers of wilderness complete at a cost of 4 cents per unit, which later turned out as one of the smartest transactions in history.
