Napa valley


Napa Valley wine region is an American (American ViticulturalArea, or AVA) recognized by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in Napa County, California. It is considered one of the areas of wine production noe of the most prestigious in the United States,with a viticultural heritage dating back to the nineteenth century.The Napa Valley enjoys a Mediterranean climate, geology andterrain conducive to the cultivation of quality vineyards.




The combination of a Mediterranean climate, geography and geology of the valley is conducive to the prosperity of viticulture.Napa Valley is surrounded by the Mayacamas Mountain Rangeto the west and north, and by the Vaca Mountains to the east.Several smaller valleys also exist between these two mountain ranges. 








Today, Napa Valley is home to approximately 400 wineries and numerous more brands. Its growers and vintners combine cutting-edge science with traditional techniques, and its reputation for producing world-class wines is firmly established in an ever-growing global market.
