Just a small number of cities in the world manage to merge the present and the past and Vienna is one of those. Almost everybody is familiar with the historical image of this city, known by the grand imperial palaces and orotund baroque interiors, splendid squares and of course the Hofburg Palace – the home of the powerful Habsburg dynasty.
Anyway, Vienna is not only the symbol of a glorious past, but today is one of the most dynamiv and urban towns in Europe. Its MuseumQusrtier will welcome you with the most provocative contemporary art. The courtyard is known for the unforgettable summer evenings, when tourist’s and Viennese’s noise vitalize this city. All the restaurants are crowded with people who want to enjoy the small things in life, like wine and food, and Vienna is the right place for them. Just beside the traditional Beisl, you will find also sushi and Astro-Asian fusion restaurants.
This is the city of Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Strauss, Schubert, Haydn, Mahler, Schönberg, but it’s also the city of Falco, the best selling Austrian singer of all time.
Vienna is also the capital with great surroundings with its immense green space (almost half the city expanse is given over to parkland) and with the “blue” Danube that cuts a path to the east of the historical centre and Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) and makes much of Vienna’s western border.
