Innsbruck Travel Guide

Innsbruck is the capital of Tyrol, and it has so many different images so that seems hard to believe that each of them shows exactly the same city. For example you can experience Innsbruck by walking through the medieval lanes and admiring to the Habsburg palaces or you can gape Zaha Hadid’s spacey creations and enjoy unique sunsets in one of the riverside lounge bars.

Although Innsbruck is a city with great progress and world-class museums, it still keeps its pleasant and friendly spirit, as well as it continues to combine the urban with the nature. The most beautiful natural attraction of Innsbruck are the Alps, perfectly mounted above the Inn River: you can see their reflection on every glass façade, from every corner of the streets and they will sneak into every photo you will take.

The big number of brewpubs, beer gardens and funky bars is explained by the fact that Innsbruck is the third city in Austria with the largest student population. And if you still have energy after this kind of nightlife, you can climb down Nordpark’s slopes or encounter supersonic speeds on Igls’ bobsled run.
